Raw Processing, part 2

I still need to revisit the quality processed by either LR and Aperture again, but moving forward with the objective of this post.  I use Nik Color Efex Pro 3.0 extensively, and it integrates very well with Capture NX2.  Any filters that I applied onto the RAW image are stored within the original file itself, and I can visually check how each of the filters change my image, whereas, the CEP plugins for Aperture and LR, when each filter is applied, a version of the image is created (large 70+ MB files each).  So if I need to apply two filters, LR and Aperture would create two 70+ MB files!  Yes, I can change the TIFF to 8-bit to reduce the size, but you get my point.  Unlike CEP3 for NX2, I can not change or refine my filter adjustments or change the mask later. Back to my previous posts, guess I'm stuck with my woes with buggy and sluggish NX2, for now.
